Many decorative items and accessories for the home interior can be made with your own hands from available materials at hand.
In this review, the author shows how easily and quickly you can make a simple, but at the same time interesting, candlestick made of wood. Moreover, the work itself will take literally 1-2 hours, no more.
To make this craft, you only need a wooden block of 50x50 mm, from which you will need to saw off two pieces of different lengths (depends on what height you want the candlestick to be).
The main stages of work
Print a paper template in the shape of a heart. We cut it with scissors into two parts (in half), after which we glue it to the bars. Then, with an electric jigsaw or with a band saw, cut out half of the heart in each bar.
In the upper part of the bars we drill holes for round candles. Then we grind the workpieces and glue them together so that in the end we get a whole heart.
After gluing, we again process the candlestick with sandpaper, while removing all sharp corners. At the last stage, it remains only to cover the finished product with varnish, wax or mineral oil.
