How to pickle pork belly

Pork belly consists of layers of meat and lard. Such meat is especially good for pickling. Salty pork belly is a favorite snack for everyone. It can be served in the form of slices or used to make sandwiches and canapes.
How to salt pork, not everyone knows. But this is not so tricky. Enough to stock up with salt and spices. And detailed instructions will tell the rest.

Products for cooking:


  • pork belly - 800 g;
  • table salt - 500 g;
  • fresh garlic - head;
  • a mixture of peppers.

Cooking Instructions


We sort garlic into teeth, peel it.

We wash the pork belly in clean water, cut into small pieces. They should be approximately the same size.

Inside each piece with a sharp-pointed knife, we make pocket cuts.

Inside each such pocket we put garlic.

Pour salt and pepper into a plate.

Mix.

In the resulting aromatic salt, it is necessary to dip each piece of the brisket. We do this carefully and from all sides.

After these pieces are laid on the bottom of a small saucepan. We press them tightly to each other. Leave the brisket to salt in the cold for a day.

After that, you can try the meat. For serving, it should be cut into thin slices. As a complement, mustard and black bread are great.

  • You can use not only brisket, but also other meat. It will also turn out delicious.
  • You can purchase a special set of spices for salting fat.
  • Ordinary salt and spices can be replaced with special salt, which is already sold mixed with various herbs.
