The eternal question: "How to make something good and high-quality from practically nothing?" I will offer you a way to make a completely high-quality backlight for your table or workbench. Such a lamp can be located both in your home and in a garage or workshop.
Necessary materials
It will take quite a bit, as it might seem at first glance. But in the end, the result of the backlight will definitely please you.
- LED strip 12 with an adapter or LED strip 220 V.
- Thin aluminum profile. You can try using plastic from plastic trim, the main thing is that it does not bend.
- Chain or rope for hanging the lamp to the ceiling.
- Hooks, bolts, nuts.
I took a 12V tape, because sometimes they turn off the network and I power up the backlight from the battery.
Lamp assembly
Determine the size of the lamp, given the backlight area. Next, assemble the lamp from the profile, tightening the short spots with screws and nuts.
We bend and sharpen the final sharp corners.
We assemble the entire design of the backlight.
Fasten the LED strip. Peel off the protective strip and gently glue it to the profile.
Solder the segments of the LED strip.
Here is a view of a finished but not completely hung lamp.
We hang everything on a chain or rope.
The light is magnificent. Plus, if you notice, I’ve highlighted the cable channel of the mains voltage box, just above the table.
When choosing an LED strip, if you do not have one, pay attention to the number of LEDs per meter, the power of one meter, and the shade of the glow is cold or warm.
Given these parameters, select the power of the power supply to power the 12-volt tape.
