In this review, the author shows a simple and accessible way for everyone how to make a simple flange on an electric drill with your own hands. And without a lathe.

To make a homemade flange, you need solid plastic with a thickness of 3-5 mm.

First of all, plastic blanks of 50x50 mm should be cut out of plastic. Corners will need to be trimmed.

Next, in the plates you need to drill a hole for the motor shaft (in this case, the diameter is 12 mm). And in one plate you need to drill a hole, depending on what thread is in the shaft.

For example, if the thread in the motor shaft is M6, then a hole with a diameter of 6 mm will need to be drilled in the plate itself.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, we install the electric motor on the table, and put on the plate shaft.

After that we put on the last plate (with a hole of a smaller diameter) and fix it with the help of a clamping bolt.

Then with the help of a chisel it will be necessary to make all the plates round. That is, we grind them.

Next, remove the last plate. We fix the remaining plates with a bolt with a washer, and grind to the inner diameter of the bore of the emery wheel. Do not touch the first round disk.
