With the help of this home-made garden tool it is very convenient to loosen the soil, remove weeds and weeds, carry out cultivation and other earthwork in the country house and garden. You can make such a double-sided hoe-hoe from available materials - for example, from scraps of metal that remained after other homemade products.
To work, you will need a piece of angle 40x40 mm, a piece of steel pipe with a diameter of 22-24 mm for the manufacture of handles, as well as two pieces of round timber with a length of about 10-15 cm.The main tool is a grinder with a cutting and grinding disc and a welding machine.
The main stages of work
The edges of the corner 40x40 mm are cut off by a grinder on both sides at an angle, after which we cut the desired piece in height. We remove the burrs, grind the surface, and then form the cutting edge on one side. These operations can be performed using both an angle grinder and a belt grinder.
Next, take a piece of a round pipe, cut to size and cut at an angle. The edge of the pipe must be slightly flattened with a hammer, after which we weld the handle of the hoe-hoe to the upper inner side of the corner. At the last stage of work, cut off two round rods, sharpen one edge under the cone and weld to the pipe.
We clean the places of welds and the outer surface of the corner to the shine of the metal. The result is a very useful tool for giving and gardening - a bilateral hoe-hoe. If desired, the pipe can be shortened and a wooden handle can be inserted into it.
