With the help of this simple home-made grinder, assembled on the basis of a small grinder, you can quickly grind grass, leaves from corn, as well as other herbaceous plants that grow in the summer cottage or near the house. Ground grass can be used as food for small domestic animals.
The main stages of work
As a working chamber of a mini-grinder, you can use a can or other metal can (the higher and wider in diameter it will be, the better). First of all, you need to drill a through hole in the bottom of the can, and then two more holes on the sides.
Then it is necessary to cut a “window” in it for the ejection of shredded grass. The cutting knife can be made from an old circular disk or, for example, a circle for angle grinders with victorious soldering, which has already worked out its own.
We cut out the suitable shape of the knife for the grinder, and then sharpen the cutting edge and put on the grinder shaft. It is convenient to use a circle or disk, since there is already a hole in the center. You can also make a cutting knife for the grinder from a steel plate.
Mini chopper assembly
We remove the disc and the protective casing from the grinder, install a tin can - on the sides of the working chamber we additionally fasten the feast with the help of steel plates that are screwed to the housing of the angle grinder. Then install the cutting knife and tighten with a quick-tightening nut.
