With this homemade product, the hydraulic jack can be driven by a small 12 V motor that connects to the car battery. As an electric drive, you can use the engine from the wipers.

It would seem, why reinvent the wheel, if there is a manual lever on the hydraulic jack. But this home-made device will save time and effort, especially if you are not in the garage, but somewhere on the road, and you need to urgently change the punctured wheel.

The main stages of work

First of all, remove the lever with the mount from the jack, leaving only the stock. Then we cut a piece of the profile pipe 20x40 mm and with the help of a grinder we make a rectangular cut in the middle, not reaching the edges of the workpiece by about 2-3 cm. On one side of the profile you need to drill a through hole.

Next, insert a plate with a width of 15-20 mm into the profile pipe and firmly fix it using electric welding. We put a steel disk with a diameter of 15-20 cm on the rotor shaft of the engine, on one side of which we drill a hole.

After that, we insert bearings into the profile pipe and fasten them to the electric motor through the previously drilled hole. The other end of the profile must be attached to the hydraulic jack, and the second pair of bearings is connected to the rod. The result is a movable "carriage".

At the last stage of work, we make two clamps from a thick steel pipe (the pipe must be cut in half - one side is completely welded, and two nuts are welded to the second, into which the bolt is screwed). We put homemade clamps on the electric drive and the jack, and then connect them to each other using two plates.
