From an empty freon cylinder, you can make a cool smokehouse for hot smoking of meat, fish and some other products. A great idea for those living in a private house, as well as spending a lot of time on a summer cottage or in the countryside.
This version of a homemade smokehouse with a water lock is quite versatile in application - it can be used both at home on a stove that runs on natural gas, and in nature (for example, in a barbecue or a fire).
First of all, with the help of a permanent marker, it is necessary to mark out the entire circumference of the freon cylinder. After that, we take an angle grinder with a cutting disc and cut off the upper part according to the marking. Before cutting, make sure that the container is empty.
Making a smoke trap for a smokehouse
To make a water lock for a homemade smokehouse, we will use a profile pipe with side dimensions of 15x15 mm. We cut off a piece of profile with a grinder 90 cm long (+10 cm to the diameter of the cylinder), which must be bent into a ring. For this you can use a bending machine.
One side of the circle from the profile pipe must be cut off with a grinder. After that, we remove all burrs and irregularities with the blade disc. Using a clamp, tighten and weld the edges.
At the next stage, we weld the ring to the freon cylinder, install the cut off top from above. On the sides of the case you will need to weld handles for carrying the smokehouse. Next, cut off the valve and drill a hole with a drill with a diameter of 8 mm.
The tank for collecting fat can be made from an aluminum pan, suitable in diameter (it is not necessary to buy a new pan - the old one will do). As a grill for meat or other smoked products, you can use the usual building mesh.
