Making a formidable weapon, the master begins with the most basic - the choice of good steel. And in this case, tool steel fits perfectly. It hardens well, but it is not as fragile as rapid.

Further, step by step, the author leads him to a finished look. Drills holes for fastening the future handle, polishes the blade with a grinding bar.
Then the master tempers the ax in oil for greater strength. He releases the voltage of the metal in the electric oven - heats up and allows it to cool slowly. The product becomes final after etching. No one will say that this sparkling black metal was once a piece of rusty iron.
