In this issue we will tell you how you can make a simple mini oven for baking cakes from improvised materials with your own hands. It also has a stove and bread. In general, such home-made work on the farm will not be superfluous. And especially a mini oven is useful in the country, where stationary ovens are rarely installed.
As a heating element for a mini-furnace, the master uses a nichrome wire twisted into a spiral. It can be removed from an old electric stove. Also, free nichrome wire can be found in other household appliances. For example, it is present in soldering irons and tubes of quartz heaters.
Next, the author prepares two metal plates, in which he drills two holes. With these plates he connects two gypsum tiles. In principle, you can use another material, which is also characterized by high heat resistance.
The process of making a homemade mini oven
At the next stage, the master lays a nichrome spiral with a “wave”, after which he marks and drills through holes in which the clamps from soft wire will be inserted. They will hold the nichrome spiral in position. On the back of the base all the “legs” must be bent.
Further, the author fixes metal terminals to the base, with the help of which the two ends of the nichrome wire and the plug cable wires are connected.
At the last stage, it remains only to make the box of the furnace from sheet metal. The author decided to use corrugated stainless steel sheets, but you can also use smooth ones - this is not so important.
