Ordinary Chinese locks, which can now be inexpensively bought in almost any market, are absolutely unreliable - even a schoolboy will open them with a regular paper clip.
In this review, the author shows how to make a garage lock with your own hands, which is so easy to open it will not work. The lock is made of scraps of metal - what was at hand.
The first step is to cut two small pieces from a piece of the hexagonal bar. This can be done on a band saw or with a grinder.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, in one of the segments of the hexagon, the author drills a hole, and then hammer a piece of round bar into it with a hammer. The result was a key for the lock.
Next, you need a large bolt with a cap under the hexagon. In it you need to drill a blind hole on a drilling or lathe.
After that, the master hammer a piece of round bar into the drilled hole. Then it will need to be cut off on a band saw flush with a hat.
Build a makeshift castle
Then the author cuts a blank of a square shape from a metal plate. Four holes must be drilled around the edges. And the author drills another hole of a larger diameter in the center of the plate. He puts a nut in it.
At the last stage, it remains only to cut off another strip of metal and make a lock case from a blank. And after that you can start assembling.
