To do this, you will first need to pick up a round piece of thin glass or a mirror, and it should be slightly larger than the diameter of the suction cup itself.
Then this piece of glass using double-sided tape must be glued to the windshield. A suction cup with a DVR is already attached to it.
This method is really simple, but you can’t always find a round piece of glass or a mirror on hand, and even a suitable diameter.
Therefore, if you do not plan to constantly remove the DVR, then in this case, you can completely do without a suction cup.
In order to remove the DVR if necessary, it will be enough just to remove it from the bracket. Whereas the mount itself will always remain on the windshield.
The method of mounting the recorder without a suction cup
The first step is to remove the suction cup itself. To do this, you need to remove the pin, which fixes it in the landing "nest".
Insert a thin screwdriver, awl or other object into the side hole, which is located in the DVR mount housing, and carefully push out the pin.
At the next stage, degrease the surface of the plastic under the suction cup with an anti-silicone, then glue the double-sided tape, remove the protective film and glue the DVR to the windshield.
Double-sided tape cut into strips and glue them butt. Then we cut the excess with scissors around the circumference. We cut out the middle with the help of a blade for an office knife.
