In this review, the master shows how to make a simple drum grinding nozzle for angle grinders with your own hands.
The author tries to convey the following with her homemade product: why buy factory nozzles for grinding when they can be made independently?
And really - if there is time, why not make yourself such a nozzle (or even a kit consisting of nozzles of different diameters).
First of all, on a lathe, you will need to carve a drum from a piece of wood. No lathe? Do it yourself!
We recommend reading: how to assemble a simple home-made wood lathe from an electric drill.
The main stages of work
After a drum of a suitable diameter has been machined on a lathe (or in another way), it is necessary to make a "seat" under the nut at the end.
To do this, the master makes a marking, and then drills a blind hole with a pen drill.
At the next stage, pour a little glue into the resulting recess and press on the nut. Screw the metal washer into the end. It will first need to drill three holes.
Next, cut a piece of emery tape (the edges need to be cut at an angle) and glue it to the drum.
The author fixes the grinder between two boards, which are pulled together by two studs (or long bolts) and wing nuts.
We wind the nozzle onto the shaft of the reducer of the grinder, and you can begin to work.
