Now I will show how incredibly simple it is to clean the iron not only from the outside, but also inside, using the tools that are always available in almost any kitchen. The sole of the iron, its water tank with all channels, will be cleaned at a time. The iron will shine again and will blow off steam like new.
Will need
- Table vinegar 9% (not acetic acid 70%, namely vinegar).
- Baking soda.
- Unnecessary HB cloth, towel.
2 in 1 Iron Cleaning Process
Pour vinegar into the water tank. Approximately 100-150 ml.
Turn on the iron to medium temperature and let it warm up. Next, turn on the steam supply and begin to iron any unnecessary fabric. At the same time, we actively press the steam release button.
Iron until there is no vinegar left in the tank. At this time, traces of cleaning will be visible on the white fabric: yellow or brown spots. Vinegar perfectly removes all traces of scale and limescale inside, and all your steam holes and channels will be again as new.
We turn to cleaning the soles
Spread a wet towel. On it we place a wet towel or cloth folded several times. Top with 2 tablespoons of soda.
Preheat the iron to medium temperature and start ironing the soda with a little effort.
And you will see how carbon deposits fall off the sole of the iron.
Let the iron cool.
Then we take a soft cloth and remove the remaining soda. You may need to use a toothpick to clean the steam holes.
So, without any extra effort and expense, you can service the iron and extend its life for many years.
