In this review, the author shows how to make do-it-yourself lugs for a walk-behind tractor. They will be mounted directly on the tires. Perhaps someone will like this option.
To implement this idea, a metal strip of 20x40 mm and 30x40 mm is required. From the latter, the author will also make lugs. A thinner strip will go to the manufacture of hoops.
First of all, the author makes two hoops on the diameter of the wheels of the walk-behind block from a metal strip 20x40 mm. There are two hoops on each wheel.
The main stages of work
From a metal strip of 30x40 mm, the author cuts the plates of the desired length. Workpieces will need to be sanded to remove burrs.
At the next stage, the plates will need to be bent in a vice at an angle of about 45-55 degrees. We weld blanks to hoops.
At the edges of the hoops, the author welds steel plates with holes for bolting. Then we tighten the hoops with lugs with bolts so that they fit tightly on the wheel.
